Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

The Five Units Challenge - Report #15 - Skills

So, this challenge already reached report #15 and Donna is still a teenager? Well, not for much longer! She will grow up during next report, and her dad Abraham becomes old and grey in this report - stay tuned!

This challenge is mostly based on skills - not just random skills, but those based on someone's personality and interests. Donna is forced to max out her dad's Painting skill, and her mom's Cooking skill. In addition she can pick one personal skill, which she will not decide quite yet. Will it be singing? Will her unit of the garden simply contain a karaoke machine?

Donna's main heir will then need to max out all those 3 skills + one personal, and finally the last main sim will need to max out a total of 5 skills... while Donna is still in the house! I'm not even sure that will be possible...

This far Donna started reading up on Cooking. I know, her mother never read a book but practiced from serving her family food, but then Sylvia never had to max out 3 different skills either. Donna wants to read Cooking vol 1 for a good start, and then leave the rest to practicing.

Sylvia loves cooking, and she still runs the kitchen. She knows that she soon ought to leave the food serving to Donna. Gardening will still be Sylvia's domain, though, unless Donna chooses it as her additional skill. Sylvia also maxed out her Parenting skills by now.

The next day was Fiona's birthday, she has completed her teenage years. Sylvia decided to prepare a good meal in her new outdoor kitchen, and tables were set on the terrace.

Looks like Sylvia was a bit annoyed that Donna took so long to grab her food? The party was a small one, as both Fiona's brothers were at work. And - I have another complaint - why can't we celebrate a birthday with a bbq? After they ate well, Sylvia had to bake a cake in addition, that none of them could eat because they were all filled up. More birthday complaints later in this report...

Well, both brothers got themselves a job as they grew up. Rudolph is a tech-something. I always forget that career title... He got a video gaming facility at home because he often rolls a whim related to gaming.

Sammy got a job in the entertainment industry, aiming to become a musician.

Now that Fiona is a young adult, she got a job too! She works with Social Media, a track that was introduced with the City Living EP, and that I never tested. She works from home or in some office depending on her mood, and she opened a profile and posts her mood swings. I think she has about 200 followers, might be time for me to read up on what she can actually do...

Btw, her traits are Cheerful, Jealous and Outgoing. And she developed Good manners.

She put on some make up and took another selfie...

Donna started painting, as well! It's a good income source once you get skilled, so even if she isn't really interested, it doesn't feel wasted.

And now for some juicy news! Sammy actually kissed Kassandra Wahl, the repair woman! So, they are now officially dating.

Sammy and Kassandra moved to San Myshuno where they chose to rent a flat in the Spice Market.

I mentioned that 2 adults were able to assist on the school project? Well, how about 3 adults assisting a teen? Donna is currently the only teenager in the household, but not for long. Rudolph, Sylvia and Fiona all joined to help her with some kind of bridge construction project.

The funniest part was when the project was completed and they all stood up clapping their hands for quite a while :) Such a happy family!

Donna wanted to visit the Karaoke bar again, and now that Fiona is a young adult it might be possible to stay out beyond curfew? Fiona obviously thought it was a great idea, because she would like to check out those young men hanging out in the bar...

It was their dad Abraham's elderly birthday, but instead of a family party, Sylvia invited him to eat at the Blue Captain, located in Gloomville (ahem, your Willow Creek).

They were so sweet blowing kisses to each other.

Blue Captain was known for its great kitchen, and Sylvia had invited her friend Dorothy Flemming to join them. Sylvia couldn't help asking her whether she was single.

And Dorothy looked rather sad when admitting in her dark voice that a good mate was hard to find.

Then she nipped to the expensive wine, giggled, and nipped again... after all it was Sylvia's treat...

At the downtown karaoke bar Donna enjoyed every minute!

She had talked Fiona into singing a duet, and it helped on Donna's confidence that her older sister hardly could sing! Donna stood out like a talented singer, although not very skilled!

Then other guests entered the little room, a guy just standing there for a few minutes watching. Donna couldn't help noticing his black hair... were those eyes even green? No?

The guy left, and shortly Fiona walked out to the bar, too.

All the guests were young men, and one in particular got Fiona's attention...

This tall athletic guy wearing the ugliest jacket Fiona ever saw!

Back home in Newcrest Abraham and Sylvia had returned back home. Abraham just grew elderly, and it's hard to tell what he thought of it.

There's no job Abraham can retire from. Life will go on, except Abraham and Sylvia will need to step back as soon as Donna starts her own family.

And Donna's birthday is coming up next - to be continued in a few days :)
